Meet Gunpowder Park car park (no charge and toilets!) on Sewardstone Road, just north of junction with Avey Lane.
Circular: Round the Reservoir and on to Waltham Abbey. A walk on good, level surfaces, with nice stretch along the Lee Navigation.
Pub stop at "The Greyhound", Enfield Lock (have menu). Buy two main courses, get the cheaper one free!

Circular: Country walk - Barton-le-Clay. The extraordinary attraction of the fringes of the Chilterns is the sudden distinction between the hills and the generally flat surrounding areas; we see valleys, clefts and curves which sheep grazing seems to have carefully manicured purely for our delight; looking up we can see for tens of miles over the surrounding countryside.

Linear: Pymmes Brook Trail Part 2. This linear walk completes that started in November 2011. The Trail continues to the Lee Valley Leisure Centre but we will divert to explore places of interest in Edmonton. Historical commentary. Despite short distance will finish in mid-afternoon.
FINISH: Edmonton Green Station.

A free car park at the most southerly point of Two Tree Island which is reached from a turning at Leigh-on-Sea Station.
POST CODE: SS9 2ET

Circular: Country Walk - Leigh-on-Sea. Two Tree Island/Leigh-on-Sea, Views - across Canvey island and the Thames Estuary to Kent; fauna and flora - plenty of woodland, flowers, and a guarantee of seeing avocets; history - a 13C castle and the reconstruction of an Iron Age Round House; water - the outward walk starts with a circuit of an island and continues along Benfleet Creek; hills - enough to provide a puff.
Short stop in café at the Salvation Army farm; although the leader will take cockles and a pint in Leigh-on-Sea at the end of the walk.

Linear: Follow the hypothetical route of the Walbrook River. Known by the Romans, the Walbrook is believed to have emerged from a sacred spring in Holywell Priory. The walk will trace its probable route to the Thames.
Allow at least an hour and a half for this short (with commentary) walk.
FINISH: near Cannon Street and Monument stations.

Circular: Beauchamp Roding to White Roding. The walk includes the River Roding with an optional ford and unusual mid-morning stop. For the mudaholics, you may be only partly satisfied.
