Outreach

West Essex has embarked on a programme of Outreach in the community, to introduce walking to those who might not otherwise discover or be able to enjoy the pleasures of rambling in the countryside.

To date it has taken four main forms:

1.) a special walks programme for the women of the local Asian community, linked to a Watham Forest Health project;
2.) offering to lead for local schools;
3.) leading fund raising walks for charities such as the NSPCC;
4.) leading walks for the blind and visually impaired.
